A deep dive into the vast world of breweries and microbreweries with Rabbi Akiva Niehaus - Director of Kashrus Operations at the cRc and the Rabbinic Coordinator of the Liquor Industry at the cRc.
This is what I'm not understanding. If I'm at a kosher certified event, why would it even occur to me, as a poshut consumer, that there would be items at said event that aren't certified???
If the mashgiach of my event were to tell me they're now exploring only allowing certified drinks I'd wonder where they've been until now! Why is this considered a ground breaking, pushing-the-envelope kind of an idea?
(full disclosure, my husband is a mashgiach and I still consider this concept mind boggling!)
